Well we are on the home stretch. Jason will be home on Monday evening. It's been a long week and a half. We've had our ups and downs. I've really enjoyed spending time with my kids. Basically that's what I've been up to. I've been out to stores 4 times with them alone. And being out with the two of them alone was a first. I know crazy Jace is 5 months and I've never been out with both of them. I guess I just never had to do it and why do it when you have help?
Talia's getting older. And what I mean by that is she talks in sentences, we play with toys how they're meant to be played with, she knows 6 colors, counts to 5, we have real laugh attacks together over silly things, sand he helps me bake somewhat more appropriately. It's been fun BUT with getting holder comes new stages such as tantrums, all of a sudden DEMANDING attention the moment she wants it and when she doesn't get it throwing MORE tantrums. This part of her getting older had been challenging mostly because I'm a single parents right now. She is still a sweety most of the time. She LOVES to make Jace laugh and whenever she's not saying "MINE" about a toy he is grabbing she shares with him and then comes and tell me she shared with Jace and gives her self a clap about it. She actually will share her num nums when in a good mood. That is a big deal around here! Honestly as we speak she's running at Jace and making silly faces. I love that she wants to make him laugh and "includes" him.

A "Num Num" dress
Jace is doing great. He's five months old. He's a happy healthy boy. The only thing is I am sleep training him and I am really working hard at it. I think it was easier to train Talia because I didn't worry about waking any other child up. Also I trained her about a month or so early. We had started to train Jace but travelling and vacation for a month didn't help. So anyways we are working at it. He's also a soother boy which I don't think I love especially for nights. I might have to take it away early. He's waking up at night to often wanting to eat or have his soother. He's not the worse sleeper but he's not the best by far! 1.) I am weaning out so many bottles at night. He's allowed 1 in a 11-12 hour span. He has done this on his own so I know he can do it. This hasn't been hard so far except lately I still get up to put his soother in so he goes back to sleep fast and doesn't wake up Talia. He is going to start crying it out... sorry Talia if he wakes up. It will be better in the long run. 2.) He is not being rocked to sleep. At first he cried a good 40 minutes before he fell asleep. Now it's anywhere from 5-30. I have never rocked him to sleep and before vacation he would lay down and go to sleep. SO I think vacation did not help this and I guess on vacation he also decided he does not like to be wrapped. Other than night sleep training he is a joy to be around. He's getting BIG. Like he's a solid kid. Must have thick bones. He eats rice cereal and soon we'll start veggies. He now has officially passed Talia's 1 yr weight and they are both in size 3 diapers.

Just Chilling
That's the update on the kids. As for ME my life in the last two weeks have been filled with kids. I also have been taking photos and learning how to take better photos. Richard and Leslie came over and gave me some good tips. Richard is a wealth of knowledge, so THANKFUL for them! I really do find joy in taking a good photo. Catching a cute moment just makes me happy and I do post
a lot of them but I just want to share how cute some of the moments are. I've booked a few shifts at the stollery in the end of August that I'm really looking forward to those. I love my job and it's so nice that I can work casual and pick up when it works for me and if I don't want to them I don't have to. I love the kids I work for and I love the staff I work with. I just love them. I guess another thing I'm going to be starting again is I just signed up for a basketball team. It's been like 3 years since I've played on a team. I love basketball so it will be fun to get back in... and back in to shape! I'm sure my body will be in for a shock but it will be good!
As for Jason. He's working hard and getting good experience. He loves the practice in Cardston and for loving ER he's got
A LOT of experience there. He's had a lot of traumas. As for August when he gets home he'll be working mostly in Leduc covering for doctors when they go on vacation. Also he'll be working a little bit around the grey nuns hospital at a clinic there. It will be nice for him to be around and I know he's excited to come home and see us. I think with being away from kids especially young ones he feels like he misses so much and even in 2 weeks they grow up fast. He is right in two weeks Jace has started to eat rice cereal and roll a bunch and he's been missing out on the new tantrum of Talia! ha! We can't wait till he gets home!!!!!!!!
Although I would much rather be with Jason I am glad I did come home for these past two weeks. Your home should be a place you love to be in and that is true with me. Nothing like your own place. Also in these past two weeks my niece Avery had her 3rd birthday party on the 29th (Talia loves Avery!), one of my best friend Amanda had her first baby (Tanner) on the 31st and visited her in the hospital, My sister Breanne had her baby (Marli) on the 1st and I visited her in the hospital, I started planning a baby shower for Amanda, and I took new born photos of Amanda's baby Tanner. Coming up on Saturday I'm singing at my great Grandma Bernice's funeral (love her!), and on Monday I am taking new born baby photos and family photos of Breanne's baby and family. Busy but fun!
So that is our update and here are some of the photos I've been taking for me and for other people:
