"Happy to Yalia"

As Talia would say "Happy to Yalia!"

Talia is 2 today! Can't believe how fast time flies. She may not be growing in size much (19.8 lbs) but she really is turning into a toddler. She speaks in sentences, surprises us everyday with how much she knows, she's a toddler (throws tantrums at the most random things), plays with Jace and loves to make him laugh and when she's about to get in trouble she knows how to smooze us over by being cute at just the "right" time . She's funny and we're so grateful to have her in our family.

This past weekend we had a little birthday party for her with just family. The weather was perfect (28 degrees) and she loves playing outside at my parents. It was a fun day.

 Talia has a slight obsession with balloons, cupcakes, juice and fries! BAD!!!

 My parents neighbors let us borrow this whenever we want- they're awesome!

 The BEST swing ever. It's like the ones at galaxy land and goes just as high. Talia LOVES it.

Jace he's seven months what can I say about the last month

- he's 17.5lbs (2 pds from Talia!)

- he sits on his own 100% but prefers to be on his stomach so he falls over lots to get over. Doesn't know how to go down gracefully.

- doesn't crawl but he sure does know how to turn him self around and roll to what he wants

-still does not like fruit much or medicine so frustrating- this has led to some Tylenol suppositories

- would live on oatmeal cereal if he could, but he will eat vegetables and sometime warm fruit- sometimes

- he's a cuddle boy and loves to smile

-his hair is basically longer than Talia's

- his favorite person remains to be Talia

We love him and are glad he came when he did! Love you bud!

The Simple Things- almost!

So Jason's been off a lot this month which as been nice. I've been able to pick up some shifts at work, play basketball, and we've been able to spend a lot of morning together. We had our first fall walk this morning. Probably first of many.

It actually started out just being a simple walk but we thought we'd get an updated picture of the two kids so as Jason was putting the back of our swing chair up and while I was putting Jace on the chair (he can finally sit all by himself!), Talia I guess was walking backwards and walked right back into our little kitty pool that HADN'T been emptied yet. All we hear is this "ah ah ah ah ah then crying". I couldn't stop laughing. She had fallen on her back with all her clothes, her winter coat she wanted to wear, and her winter hat in the pool. Silently I was laughing SO hard. Thankfully Jason forgot to put shoes on her so her shoes weren't wet. She was SOAKED head to toe. We stripped her down and got some new clothes on. She kept saying cold cold cold. That'll teach her to walk backwards... kidding! That will teach me to empty the pool when we're done! I was just about my camera out to take a picture of Jace... too bad I didn't have it because I really would have got a photo before getting her!

Anyways here's some of the pictures we took. I think I could take photos of these two all day long. I'll have to find more subjects!

 Probably my favorite photo. Talia decided she wanted the back which is fine now because Jace sits up great. She thought it was so funny patting his hat. She couldn't stop laughing. What a cute pair!

 Can't even handle this. Talia just kissed him because. I didn't even ask her. I guess it's not surprising because she often just randomly kisses Jace.

Funny is she'll go kiss him then like 2 minutes later she'll be 10 feet away from him, he'll be in his jumper or something and she say, "No Jace, MY green num nums."  Funny because he can't crawl and usually is showing no interest in whatever she is saying mine about. Cracks me up!

Had to put this picture in because he reminds me SO much of my brother Blake and my sister Taren in this photo. Jace has got a lot of Low in him but his eyes are so much my side. So in the end, and by end I mean when he's like 10 or older I think he will look more like a Low but right now I just see my sides eyes.

Kind of like Talia. Everyone says she's all Jason. But she's not. She has his eyes EXACTLY so that's what takes over, but the rest is very much me. So in the end I think she will look like me.

I guess time will tell.

Can't wait for the leaves to change color!!!!

Playing with the potatoe heads

Kills me how cute he is! Love his smile. He's loving sitting up and playing with some bigger toys. Still a little spastic sometimes and throws himself back but most of the time he's good with sitting. Mostly likes to be on his stomach though, he'll be happy when he can crawl.

Earings!!!!

So we got Talia's ears pierced, check it out...

OK so I didn't really get them pierced, we tried on our Mr. Potatoe head, well I should Mrs. Potatoe heads earrings. Aren't they divine? Well she thought they were until we had to take them off and her little ear lobes got a little pinch.

Watermelon!

Summer is fading and this past week I think we had one of our last "pool" parties on our deck. Wasn't much of a party, it was just our kids and Jason mowed the lawn while I watched kids on the deck. Didn't last long because the kids didn't like the sound of the lawn mower. Oh well at least we got outside, right?

Not impresses with being left alone- a little afraid of loud noises. Just like his sister.

LOVES watermelon. And she only gets to eat it like this outside.

Looks like it might be a nice week so maybe we can do a few more summer things... doubt it. Here comes fall. Fall is my favorite season. Perfect temperature (mostly), prefect colors, and it gets darker earlier. Love it.
