September

September, just like every month has flown by. Just normal life, Talia turned 7, and Jason went with a couple brothers to Toronto to take her Dad out for his 60th to a couple Blue Jays games, and have a guys weekend.

This boy has got very busy. We adore him.



 

Penny had her first day of preschool while I was gone in New York. Taren was able to take her. Penny and Colby are in the same class. It's cute! And her teacher is the nicest. She's new to the school and I haven't had her as one of our kids teachers, and I've just loved her.

 

Penny's also excited that this year she gets to start activities. She started swimming lesson. I'm excited to see her progress.

 

The community always has a movie night in September. It was a fun night. We watched finding Dory.

 

In September we went to Calaway Park for the Day. We were supposed to go in August but the weather kept being bad the way we were supposed to go. It's pretty fun and so many rides the kids could go on. Jace is not a big rides guy. The girls however tried whatever they could!

 

Jace hated this ride. I killed my self laughing the whole time. Poor guy was so panicked. We did not force him to go on. He had an internal dilemma the whole time. Let and came back in the line a handful of times. Penny and Talia loved it. Talia loves rides like me. I get more dizzy that I used to now since having kids.

OK so I stayed with Beck and Jason took the kids on the log ride. First of all he really should have had Penny in front of him Poor Penny was like ready to fall out. She was terrified. Poor girl! It's an experience right?

 

The stage of life I'm in involved a lot of driving. These are my driving buddies. Especially Beck.

We had a couple nice days in September so we went out for our last swim. 

 

Happy Birthday to our sweet Talia. We couldn't be more proud and grateful to have you as a daughter.

For her birthday party we went to 4cats art studio. I've decided birthday's outside the home are worth the couple extra dollars. Way less work.

And easy she likes cheese quake blizzard cake. Thanks for being easy going Talia! September was busy and I couldn't even make a homemade cake. Hopefully next year!

First Day of School

We were around for the first day of school which was nice. Cynthia and Brian had to the first week of school, and I'm grateful they were around to help Talia and Jace.

Talia got the greatest class. I was so happy. The start of school can be so stressful. Her teacher from last year also moved to second grade and She got her again. I was so happy. She is amazing and so so so so so good for Talia. We feel blessed.

Jace's kindergarten class is amazing! He has such a good group of buddies that he met. We've had no tears. His teacher is so loving and really so over the top with providing the best experiences for them that we couldn't be happier.

So grateful to be in this school.

She's beautiful inside and out. We love her. She's been the best big sister for Jace at school. They play together. They always get a long at school. Can only make a Mom so happy.

 

I love this boy to pieces. He was nervous but brace. I got to go in for the first 20 minutes. They made gingerbread. She has a bake day every month. How fun! We've already done more in the first 2 months than we every did at Talia's old school where she did kindergarten. It's been great for him. We thrives on doing stuff and learning with activities. When Talia got into Keheewin I thought that blessing was mostly for her, but as we go on I'm realizing more it was just as much or more so for Jace.

 I didn't get a picture of it but they held hands without me asking. It's as if they were both a bit nervous and just took comfort in the fact they were going together.

 

Nerves were gone when we noticed most her friends were in her class and she has her same teacher. Blessings!

New York New York

Wow where do I begin. New York!!! We have been looking forward to New York for so long. My parents were so kind and generous to take us each kids on a trip when we turn 30. Jason and I love tennis and have wanted to go to the US open for a bit. So We decided New York would be our place. Plus all the fun things to see and do. This trip was not to be a relaxing/ restful trip. It was go go go. The one thing I wanted on this trip was to not really plan much. My parents awesome stuff planned. We did like 2-3 things a day. Use the subway tons. With out my Dad's travelling tips and apps we would have not known what to do if we had gone on our own. Now we could do it. We walked a ton. It was great! I will go through photos. I hope I don't forget stuff. We did so much, and ate at so many good places.  And we are super grateful for Jason's parents, especially Cynthia who watched our kids.

At the air port. That was something else. My Dad got his time wrong so we thought we'd be late. We had to wake up Jason's Dad to take us. It was a bit stressful. Thanks Brian!

It was fun walking to church here. The temple and Church are in the same building. Neat.

 

After church we visited ground zero and the 9/11 memorial. It was really neat. So sad and tragic.

 

This church was unbelievable

Central Park. It would have been nice to have more time to walk or run around here. But so glad we could go for a couple hours.

Blue Jays game. It was pretty fun going to it.

 

Phantom was beyond amazing. The music just goes through you. I would go again every time.

 

First Day of Tennis. Met a ball boy on the subway. He was super friendly. Fun to talk to.

 

Deep fried pickles are amazing! Should have ordered more!

Then ate at the most amazing pizza place, Juliana's.

 

Desperately wanted to be on Jimmy Fallon so we work up to be in line at 3 am. Russell Westbrook and Arianna Grande was on. We also got her perfume and two performance songs by her. After getting our ticket at 9 am we had a nap. Needed a nap. We would find out at 330 pm if we got on. Which we did.

We saw some great matches. We did come to see Federer but he had to pull out for an injury. But we really did get to see some amazing matches. So fun. Also I got to try the tonight show ice cream FINALLY! It was everything I had hoped for and more.

 

Then we went to this park that is on a walk way around the ground. It was pretty amazing and ridiculously hot.
