Cousins

So the last couple of years I have make a picture of all the Low grandkids and framed it for my mother in law. This year I forgot... Oops. I seriously think it's because I did nothing but whine, cry, and lay on the couch from September to December. My head was just not in the game. Anyways better late than never right? So here is the 2014 Low grandkids. We had 3 new additions this year. Three boys within 5 months. 

For my journaling purposes I'm going to go through ages at the end of December and names of kids In each family. 

Top left: Grant- 5 months old (Robbie and Cammie Low's 1st child)

Top right: Benson 3 yrs, Thomas, Mason, & Luke all 1 yrs old (Richard and Leslie Low's boys) 

Middle left: top, Claire 4 yrs, bottom left-right, Faye & Anne 2 yrs old (Brian & Julie Brinkerhoff's girls)

Hawaii Part 3- The end

 Monday was our last official full day we went to Mauna Kea beach. This was by far my favorite beach. It'sthe beach just off the Mauna Kea hotel.. It's not a private beach BUT there are limited parking spots. There are 40 spots so you need to get there early and you do have to drive to the Hotel and get a parking pass. We were there at 845 am and we were number 35. I think they have about 45 parking spots. You can hike in but it's not the easiest. The Heavnors and my parents had to hike in from Hapuna. It's only a 10-15 minute walk/ hike in but pretty rocky. The beach isn't busy like Hapuna and the waves were not dragging you out. Good boogie boarding and body surfing but you never felt in danger or scared for your kids. SO not as boring as Spencer which is super kid friendly (I liked it) and not as busy as Hapuna and not as big of an under tow. Mind you Hapuna's waves aren't always that big and the under tow is not that bad all the time. Guess hit or miss!

I think it's totally worth while getting there early. You can also buy lunch if you need to, restrooms and showers are there, and it's just not crazy busy.

I think this photo is great... there's nothing sexier than a Dad hanging out with his kids and looking so great!

Sand Sand everywhere!

This girl was just so tired. Fell asleep under the umbrella. Made the mistake of not bringing her "baby" Aka- her blanky, but a towel was an ok substitute.

These kids loved making "mud"

The kids got a couple of things. Jace got a shark tooth necklace. He's pretty proud of it.

And Talia got a new Hawaiian dress and a necklace. Penny inherited Talia's old Hawaiian dress. We went 2 year ago and well it's basically the same dress but pink... she didn't know it was new.

The last half dayish we were homeless, so instead of just driving around with tired kids and all our luggage we booked a day at the Sheraton, along with the Hirsches and Paige. My parents, and Heavenors went to other islands and stayed an extra 6 days.

The pool was AWESOME at the Sheraton. A little kids beach, splash pad area, pool, hot tub, and slide.

Loving life

Here's Dave trying out the slide. Jace and Talia originally had to be forced down it but loved it and kept going on it. Especially Jace. You can move at a snails pace if you want so it was fine.

Best part about having a room, Penny could nap. She's a great napper. Just laid her on the bed and she said nigh nigh and was out. I napped as well. So nice! It was much needed as we were going on an over night flight.

This was our first flight to Maui. It was about an hour and a 9 passenger flight. We took up 7 of the seats. You had to weigh in to be told what seats to sit in. Crazy. Wasn't sure about it but it was fine.

Talia was a little nervous at first but did pretty good.

 The flights were ok. Fun fact- Micheal Buble was on our flight home. Kind of shocked me and I was like, "Oh HI!!!" Way to star struck. But he was asking for it because he had his baby on his lap waving to all the people walking passed him... he was in first class.

Anyways the over night flight from Maui to Vancouver was ok. Kids slept, Jace was a bit restless but they were quiet and slept. Jason and I did not sleep. I had Penny on me and my legs were swollen up to my knees. Jason had Jace and Talia on his lap. He didn't sleep much either. It was a really tight connection to make in Vancouver. That was stressful and this is where the kids started showing how tired and hungry they were. I think most the 1.5 hr flight our 3 kids were crying, fun...

It is done now and it's fun to look back on it and all the memories we made.

Well on to real life!

Hawaii part 2

Friday morning we went to old Airport beach? road? Anyways we got family photos. These aren't the photographers shots, they are still coming. Just the photos my Dad took with his camera and I lightened them and tweaked them just a little bit. It was our only rainy day (go figure), but it was a lot easier to smile and I think the lighting was pretty good and can easily be lightened if needed.

These two are 23 months apart. They actually played so great together this vacation. Marli and Jace are 5 months apart and are pretty funny together as well.

 

Penny and Colby were in no mood to join a cousins photo. Jace was really stressed about the waves as well. I think because the day before or so we had gone to Hupuna and lost Penny and the waves were scary there.

Also not a good idea the morning on photos to play strict parent and say if you haven't ate your breakfast too bad... Jace was pretty hungry and was crashing fast here. He got Mcdonalds after and perked up.

So Breanne is the red head in front. She's the oldest. Then the girl beside her is Taren, she's my twin. We're 15 months apart from Breanne. Paige is the baby of the family and she's beside me. She's engaged and going to be Mrs. Clarke come March 20th. She's 6 years younger than me. Blake is the only boy. You'd think he had to deal with a bunch of girls growing up poor him, but just the opposite I think he had it pretty good. This is the golden boy ;) We all love him! Anyways he's just over 4 years younger than me.

 

This girl was not impressed either. Only wanted her Daddy.

After we picked up McDonald's for our second breakfast and went to this pretty wicked park. Really close to where we were staying. It was a good break for the kids and a change from driving to beaches etc. Plus it was still clearing up from the rain. It got nicer towards lunch.

  

So Friday evening we went to a luau. The kids loved it. Jace again got really tired towards the end and both Jace and Talia didn't like the food but the dancing kept them entertained the whole time! They were surprisingly well behaved. Also Penny was just dancing up a storm the whole time. She loved it!

 

Can't get enough of this girl... how is she not going to be the baby end of April!!!

 

The kids were fascinated by the pit. Couldn't believe a pig was cooking under there.

This girl has wavy hair! It's actually got some curl in humidity. Her hair may be in her eyes and all over the place most the time but I love it! She's a Daddy's girl. 

This guy was great!

 

And I couldn't keep my eyes off of this guy. You know when something just fascinates you and you just cant turn away... well it was his mouth! I've never seen someone with such a big mouth. He was a pretty good performer as well, but that mouth!

Blake's glasses got a bit fogged up... kidding! But they do look foggy.

 

The guy beside me kept looking at Penny and saying how cute my baby was... then asked if it was a boy or girl. haha I didn't care boy or girl she is pretty cute!

We were about to walk away and Talia really wanted her own photo. This girl is growing up!

 

We ended up going to the market and stayed close to our place so we had a couple pool days in a row. Wish I had more photos of the pool but here's the hot tub... where Talia stayed most of the time ;)

 

My parents also watched the grandkids with Paige and Richard while we went out of lunch kid less. A dream!
