Summer so far in photos

This last week or so of June and beginning of July has been super nice. We've done play dates with friends, a couple different splash parks with friends, had Julie and girls come to Edmonton for a couple days (sadly no photos), went to summerside beach with my good friend and her kids, and saw Wicked with that same friend, Amanda. Such a good show. This summer is starting out perfect! Now we're off to Waterton till Tuesday. I will admit I'm a little weary with how it will be with 3 young kids, 1 that doesn't walk, and the middle who hates walking lots. And if there's lots of wind...

At least I know it'll be fun to be with family and get away from normal life here :)

 

This might be the theme of Penny's life this summer... all tuckered out she falls asleep even on Talia 

This girl likes her 1 on 1 time. While the other two nap we sometimes will play a game or two. She could play games ALL day long. She's very particular about following ALL the rules... that's why play with Jace right now doesn't always go well ;)

Forever a bottle girl... usually just mornings now... and after nap 

 

Jace doesn't love getting wet or cold. Talia likes it a little more.

Trouble

I love summerside. I'd be here every day. Thanks to my bestfriend who invited us. The kids loved it. 

 

Talia every swam out of her own ( and her life jacket of course). I was proud!

 

 Loved seeing Wicked. It was amazing!

 

 Again all tuckered out. Yes she even fell asleep this way!

Canada Day

This year we went to Sherwood Park to celebrate Canada Day with the Heavenors. The kids loved the parade, riding the ponies (which we only stood in line for 45 minutes- Jason and Jordan took the kids to the bouncy house), got their faces painted, had lunch, and played in the bouncy houses. It was fun. Super crowed but fun. And great weather!!!

One of these years we'll make it to southern alberta for July 1st. Sounds like they got some fun things to do as well, and we can visit and celebrate with family as well!

Dancing

My sweet talia loves dance! Fortunately we found a great place that took us In Starting January. It's still preschool dance (even next year) so we'll see how it goes and see if she continues. For now she really loves it. She never complains when we go and enjoys it all (unless she feels left out or a girl picks on her). 

She learned her dance so well. I was so impressed with her class. They really did great for preschool dance class. It was to spoon full of sugar.

The year end show I was so nervous for her. She has so many anxieties that I had/ have and for her to perform it just makes me so proud. She was excited to go on he stage and perform and loved watching all the older girls after her. 

Really I'm so proud of talia. She continues to out herself out there. We encourage her to tell girls her name and help her make friends. Usually it all works out but when a girl doesn't reciprocate the kindness it breaks my heart and she doesn't understand. So I'm glad she continues to go and do her bet at school, dance, and swimming. We do these things to help her with shyness and with confidence. And it has helped. I wish she could see what I see about her and be confident. She'll get there. She's really a great girl. Fun to watch her progress is all areas.
