8 Months!!!

Jace is 8 months today! Time sure does go by fast. He is such a joy to be around but he sure is a boy!
Who knew girls and boys were so different?

  • Jace is now army crawling all over the place and tries to get into everyone. Specifically Talia's toys and the kitchen drawers. I honestly don't think Talia ever opened a draw until she was 16 months old and that stopped fast.
  • He loves to be awake where the action his. He's starting to drop his morning nap and only do one. Which will be good when that's solidified because they can both take long naps in the afternoon.
  • He's a WAY better eater than he used to be.
  • He goes 7 pm to 7 am. Sometimes I have to get up and put his soother in or at his 11 hour mark i do give him a bottle so I can get an extra hour.
  • He still loves Talia
  • He LOVES baths. Though Talia loved but he trumps that.
  • Oh and did I mention he's the cutest kid ever (along with Talia)  ;)
I find it crazy how two kids can be raised by the same parents and be so different with how and when they meet certain stages. I feel like at this age I was working with Talia to not throw food and different things. I guess I just see him as my little baby when in all reality in just a few months he will be 1! Time really does fly. Sad and exciting all at once!
Anyways I love him SO much! I can't imagine life without my two kids. They keep things busy and fun for me and Jason.

Happy 8th Month Jace-e- boy!

Robbie and Cammie

This past weekend was Jason's brother Robbie and soon to be Low Cammie's "pre-wedding" reception in Cardston. They're getting married next month in Utah so this is the weekend they could come celebrate in Cardston. Devynn Bohn was their photographer and she let me tag a long to help out where I could and try a few photos of my own while she was shooting.. She had great ideas, and I loved having the chance to work with her.

Pumpkins

Want to go and buy mutliple sizes of pumpkins and go to cute location and take pictures with the help of Jason. I hope I do it... but if I don't here are my 2 pumpkin photos. Bad light, kids are hungry, and my front yard.  At least the kids are cute ;)

New Hair Cut!

So after Jace I lost A LOT of hair. I thought I had lost a lot of hair after Talia well this time around was crazy amounts. I actually ended up having Jason's hair line and really bad on one side. I actually edited some hair in on the sides of my family photos. I was actually bald in the summer. THANKFULLY it has started to grow up. But they now look like excessive amounts of baby bangs and usually stick straight up by the end of the day.

So it was time for a hair cut. I wanted a change and I'm never adventurous with my hair so I wanted to try something new. Keep my length but make it so people notice some type of change. Anyways here it is...

I LOVE it. The bangs hold down and hide those baby bangs very well. Kept my length but added lots of layers, and yes I got a feather. I've had only one person (the same person) tell me "bangs are out, feathers are out, and they don't like my bangs". I was pretty hurt by these statements but I knew I loved it and it didn't matter what this person thought.  Who really gets to decide what's in or not anyways? I love my bangs, I've always wanted a feather and now my hair is so easy to curl or straighten with the added layers. It's perfect for me!I love my hair dresser (Abby!), she's awesome and has saved my hair many times. Especially when I went to a learner in May. Thank you Abby! It's crazy how a good hair cut can just change your mood.

Pregnant...

Pregnant I am NOT! A lot of my family right now are pregnant and this time around I am really glad I'm not. Yesterday I was thinking about this because my kids together are finally hitting the age that I feel a little less tied down. Jace's feedings finally  have larger gaps. Only 3 bottles and 3 meals. And hopefully in the next 2 weeks he'll be going 11 hours at night (almost trained). And Talia is Talia. Yes some tantrums but her age is easy because she totally has her schedule.

Yesterday we went shopping for an hour in the morning. I didn't need to bring a bottle (even though I did just in case- we didn't use it), I didn't have to worry about Jace falling asleep in the car, and Talia could walk around and still listen to me (for the most part ;) ). Then after afternoon naps, which they nap at the same time, we went to the park. I did it all on my own. Talia now goes up and down all on her own and yes I still walk around watching her and making sure she's OK, Jace sits up and is easier to carry around or even swing in the swing.

I am so grateful to not be adding to our family yet. When Talia was Jace's age I remember feeling like we really needed to get pregnant and I really wanted to have a second close (thankfully I was and didn't know it) but right now I feel like and know our family of 4 is good for the time being. I love my kids and I'm excited to meet a 3rd someday, just not this day! I feel happy and content. There are areas I need to work on in my life, like loosing some of this extra weight, find some more shifts to work, cleaning my house more often, and reading but right now I'm finally feeling like I have time for that. I feel less tired and I feel like our schedule is getting concrete. Feeling this way makes me really excited for next summer because it will only get easier with just having only two kids as Jace gets older.

Recognizing this is like a sigh of relief from some of the feelings I had  this summer. Who knows the exact timing of our next kid but it's nice to not worry about it and to just relax. It's a very personal decision and I think sometimes in this society we feel pressure to have a certain amount or vise versa some people think we're crazy for wanting as many as we do. and give their 2 cents. It's a very personal decision and nobody should judge anyone. It doesn't make you more of a parent if you have more or less. I've met good and bad parents with 1 and good and bad parents with WAY to many.  If you want 1 and that's what is best for you great and if you want 10 and can afford it mentally and physically I say awesome. Any kid is worth it, 1 or 10! Grateful for agency!

Anyways that's my rant and how I am feeling lately! Grateful for my little family

2 kids in a tub

If only Jason were in this photo I could say I am most thankful for these 3 people in the photo but that would never happen. So I will say I am most thankful for these two people in this photo + one man missing!

Love these moments.

Jace is my more cuddly baby and I LOVE it! He's been sick the past few days which means he's up a lot of the night and doesn't nap good BUT that also means I get some more cuddle time. Generally even on a good day he'll fall asleep on me if I let him.

This particular night Jace and Talia were sick AND Jason was gone to Priesthood session so I was home alone with the sickies... rather cranky sickies (mostly Talia). Anyways he feel asleep on me at like 6 pm (to early for bedtime) so I just put him down for a quick nap while I dealt with Talia.

So cute! I wish I could have held him longer but I knew he would have slept for hours and then the night would have been bad. He's so cute I can't even handle it!
